Little Love turned 6 months and I cannot believe half a year has gone by. I feel like I was just pregnant. I’m not sure where the time went, but I am sure of one thing: teething sucks. Continue reading

How I got my sanity back: Product Review of Angelcare 403 Monitor
I knew long before I had Little Love how the sleeping arrangement would go: we would room share for the first few months and when he was too big or we were ready, he would transition from his bassinet to his crib… in his own nursery. I left the phrase “the first few months” extremely vague. I didn’t want Husband to hear me say a concrete time frame and hold me to that. Still, the tension built as it became clear Little Love needed to move to his own space. Continue reading
Things I Wish Someone Told Me: First Trimester
There are countless things I wish I knew about pregnancy and postpartum life. So I’ve decided to start a series where I talk about these things. I am basing these posts around my personal experiences and I am not a medical professional. This particular post is Things I wish someone told me: First Trimester Pregnancy.
After I discovered I was pregnant I felt a weird spectrum of emotions. I was shaking and excited, worried and optimistic. 5 minutes after I saw the test results, I told Husband as he came in from walking the dog. His first words to me were, “Are you serious?” We weren’t really planning a pregnancy, but we eventually were so happy to be expecting a little one. Continue reading
How to look halfway decent when you get sick (makeup for a cold)
Catching a cold is the worst. It’s exaggerated even more when taking care of an equally sick infant. First, Husband caught a cold, then transferred the cold to Little Love and if finally hit me a few days later. I always look downright awful when I fall ill and have no energy to keep up appearances. Sometimes, you need to look somewhat put together, and having no sleep the night before from congestion makes everything harder. So I decided to try my luck at a simple makeup look. Continue reading
A Father’s Day Tribute
Shout out to all the dads out there. The married ones, the single ones, the ones that stepped in to be a daddy when others didn’t. To the ones that are also the mom and to the moms that are also the dads. Whatever the case may be, Happy Father’s Day! Continue reading
Product Review/ Fail: Baby Carriers
Little Love is heavy. He’s a substantial baby. I am a weak, weak person. In my adult life I have always been on the punier side. This makes transporting him a tad difficult when I’m by myself. I can still carry him comfortably enough for short periods of time; when I’m running errands, however, I need an efficient way to shuffle him around.
This is where baby carriers come in—or so I thought. Continue reading
Surviving (the stigma of) A C-Section
1 induction, 26 hours of labor and 1 c-section later, and I have a son. Continue reading
Preparing for my hardest role yet
I like change when it’s on my own terms. I’m sure many people can relate. I like having a predictable routine that lends itself to some stability. That’s mainly why I’m terrified of having this child. Continue reading
Life Update: I’m back?!
Welcome back everyone! Thank you for returning after I totally ghosted everyone. I have a (halfway) decent excuse as to why I went MIA in October. I never intended to stop blogging and certainly never wanted to leave without an explanation.
So what was it? Mourning a celebrity death? Dissatisfied wit the election results? Overall discontent with the world? No, none of those. Continue reading
